Cambodian girls hugging

In Cambodia, Silent Images witnessed many tragic situations – the hardest to comprehend was children being sold into human trafficking because their families were stuck in the cycle of poverty.

Children as young as 3-years-old were and are being sold to buisnesses or to brothals. One 8-year-old chose to sell himself to a fisherman so that he could give the money to his sick grandmother.

How can slavery still be happening? Does anyone care? Will someone do something?

Thankfully, in the midst of all this, there are people who care, and they are taking action.

Through the years Silent Images has returned to Cambodia to tell stories of schools, microfinancing ministries, and anti-human trafficking missions who are doing amazing work.

Now the children are in school, the families have financial stability, and they have hope for their futures.

There is suffering in this world, but we can all choose to care and do something. At Silent Images we have our cameras, and we will use them to serve others.

We encourage you to look at your natural abilities and opportunities and see how you can use them to serve others.
