Silentimages 1050

To celebrate our past 10 years, we are looking back at a few of our favorite stories and moments. There are thousands to chose from, but we are narrowing them down to our top 10.

Here is story #4.

This image has grown to be an iconic representation for Silent Images when we speak of the dignity, strength, and beauty of African women.

It was taken in an IDP camp in South Sudan during the genocide in 2006. It also became the cover of our second book, Voice of Beauty. Copies are still available here.
